Turkish Composites Manufacturers Association (KSD)

The Turkish Composites Manufacturers Association (KSD) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization representing the composites industry in Türkiye. Established on May 18, 2005, the Association aims to bring together raw material, semi-finished, intermediate, and final product manufacturers and suppliers, academic institutions, and industry stakeholders under one roof to foster a strong network of collaboration.

Our Objectives

KSD works to support the growth of the composite industry in Türkiye and to raise awareness across the sector through the following activities:

• Organizing seminars, conferences, symposiums, and technical visits to inform the public and government institutions,
• Analyzing sectoral challenges and developing scientifically based, actionable solutions,
• Publishing regular bulletins to share industry developments,
• Creating content and presentations to promote composite technologies,
• Supporting the scientific foundation of composite-related studies,
• Contributing to the establishment and sustainability of national and international quality standards,
• Preparing visual and written documentation on application examples and production techniques,
• Developing domestic and international research/project collaborations based on technical requirements,
• Supporting technical research in universities, organizing lectures and seminars on glass fiber reinforced plastics, and providing scholarships,
• Creating a digital platform that provides access to current information for members and the public,
• Offering training programs for executives, technical staff, and skilled labor, along with certificates of competence and achievement,
• Monitoring domestic and international literature in the composites field and building a knowledge base by analyzing technological developments.
