TURKCOMPOSITE Press Launch 2025
TURKCOMPOSITE TAKES A MAJOR STEP TOWARDS A USD 7 BILLION MARKET TARGET
Türkiye's rapidly expanding composites industry continues to gain momentum, particularly across strategic sectors such as construction, automotive, aerospace, and defense. As of 2024, the industry's total exports have exceeded USD 2 billion, while the market is projected to reach USD 7 billion within the next five years.
As one of Türkiye's key high-value manufacturing industries, the composites sector is taking another significant step to strengthen its global position. Organized through the collaboration of the Composites Manufacturers Association (Kompozit Sanayicileri DerneÄi) and CNG Expo, TURKCOMPOSITE 2026 ā International Composite Materials, Technologies and Applications Trade Fair, Türkiye's most comprehensive event dedicated to composite materials and technologies, was officially introduced to members of the press with strong industry participation.
The press launch was attended by Kemal Darcan, Chairman of the Composites Manufacturers Association, Cengiz Yaman, CEO of CNG Expo, Kemal TunƧ, General Manager of Amiblu Holding, members of the Association's Board of Directors, industry representatives, and numerous media organizations.
TURKISH COMPOSITES EXPORTS HAVE INCREASED FIVEFOLD OVER THE LAST FIVE YEARS
Speaking at the event, Kemal Darcan, Chairman of the Composites Manufacturers Association, stated:
"The Turkish composites industry has experienced remarkable growth in recent years. Rapid expansion across strategic industries such as construction, automotive, aerospace, and defense has positioned our sector to achieve a market size of USD 7 billion within the next five years.
Today, our industry stands out not only with its manufacturing capabilities but also through its expertise in engineering, design, and advanced technology solutions. Turkish manufacturers are successfully serving major international markets, including Europe, North America, and Asia, by producing in compliance with internationally recognized standards such as EN, ASTM, and ISO.
Alongside traditional glass fiber products, advanced engineering materialsāincluding carbon fiber reinforced polymers, aramid fibers, prepregs, and nanocompositesāare becoming increasingly widespread throughout Türkiye. These developments position the Turkish composites industry not merely as a follower, but as an active contributor shaping the future of the global market.
Exceeding USD 2 billion in exports in 2024 is a clear reflection of this success. A fivefold increase in exports over the past five years demonstrates the vision, commitment, and collective efforts of our entire industry.
As the Composites Manufacturers Association, we are committed not only to advancing our sector but also to representing Türkiye on the international stage. Turkish companies have already achieved remarkable success at leading global exhibitions such as JEC World (France) and CAMX (USA). With TURKCOMPOSITE 2026, our goal is to bring that global momentum to Türkiye.
We firmly believe that Istanbul will become a meeting point for the international composites community.
TURKCOMPOSITE 2026 will be far more than an exhibition showcasing products; it will serve as a hub for knowledge exchange, technology transfer, and international business collaboration. With its renewed organizational structure, the exhibition represents a major milestone in bringing the Turkish composites industry to the global stage."
OUR GOAL IS TO BECOME ONE OF THE WORLD'S TOP FIVE COMPOSITES EXHIBITIONS
Cengiz Yaman, CEO of CNG Expo, commented:
"Building on more than 20 years of industry experience, we are committed to contributing to the continued growth of the composites sector.
TURKCOMPOSITE 2026, Türkiye's largest and most comprehensive exhibition dedicated to composite materials and technologies, is preparing to welcome the industry with an even stronger organizational structure.
The exhibition will take place 21ā23 October 2026 at Istanbul Expo Center, Halls 9ā10 and the foyer area, covering a total exhibition space of 15,000 square metres.
Held under the slogan 'Meet4Composite', the exhibition will provide a comprehensive business platform covering raw materials, semi-finished products, finished products, laboratory systems, manufacturing technologies, machinery, equipment, and advanced composite solutions.
Our ultimate ambition is to establish TURKCOMPOSITE among the five largest and most influential composites exhibitions worldwide.
In line with this vision, we expect to host more than 150 exhibiting companies, with approximately 70% domestic and 30% international participation, while welcoming over 5,000 professional visitors, including 25% international attendees.
Our collaboration with the Composites Manufacturers Association will significantly strengthen both the visitor experience and our international promotion strategy, further enhancing the global visibility and reputation of the Turkish composites industry."
WE ARE INVESTING EUR 60 MILLION IN TĆRKİYE
Kemal TunƧ, General Manager of Amiblu Holding, stated:
"As Amiblu Holding GmbH, one of the world's leading manufacturers of Glass Fibre Reinforced Plastic (GRP) piping systems, we are establishing a state-of-the-art production facility on approximately 100,000 square metres of land, featuring 25,000 square metres of enclosed production space, in the Mersin Tarsus Organized Industrial Zone.
Recognizing the strength of Türkiye's composites industry and manufacturing ecosystem, we have chosen Türkiye as one of our strategic production hubs.
This EUR 60 million investment will play a vital role in supporting our operations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia, thanks to Türkiye's strategic logistics network, export capabilities, and highly skilled workforce.
The project will create approximately 500 new jobs while significantly strengthening Türkiye's industrial and technological infrastructure through our research and development capabilities.
From this facility, we aim to export not only to regional markets but also to countries around the world, including those in the Far East."
A STRONG STEP TOWARDS POSITIONING THE TURKISH COMPOSITES INDUSTRY ON THE GLOBAL STAGE
